| RE: ENGINE IDLE SPEED CONTROLLER The 95 is a W124 model E-Class so you might get a better reply in that forum. I was once told that the same module was bad on my 96 W210 because it would stall at idle. It turned out to be my alternator instead. The voltage regulator was surging and when to much voltage was sent to the idle speed controler, the engine would die. It would restart fine and run for a while. It would stall at idle or it was hard to start because it would not idle. Have your electrical / charging system tested. One of the other symptoms was that my battery went bad and when it was tested they said that it had been over charged. This was also caused by the faulty voltage regulator. Once I replaced my alternator, everything was fine.
