I've read that the standard head units are made by Alpine and the Alpine CHA-S634 cd changer can be installed with the use of a converter. It plays MP3s.
However, i have the Command head unit. Can I still use this unit and converter?
well since u guys were stomped (the 11 that looked) I called the dealer and they the whole system (unit & speakers) is BOSE.
Which means i cant use the alpine players. But they do have 3 changers at benz that would work. I'm trying to get ahold of the part numbers now, but parts turned out to be someone's voicemail.
Gonna see if ebay can get me straight for 200 or so bucks vs. 900 at the dealer.
I have not seen or heard a mp3 changer for this system,let me know if you find one.I have seen mp3 player adaptors.
The amp(if your vehicle is equipped with one) is Bose
and the speakers also. The regular audio 30 headunit is manufactured by Alpine,comand for the w210 is made by Bosch(I think)not Bose if so the nav. would be alot better ! [:D]
If someone told you the alpine adaptor for mp3 changer would work in the car w/ the regular headunit then I would think it would work w/ the comand also why not ?
