hi I have a w210 2000 E320 cdi estate with 150000 miles on it. coming back from london to manchester it lost engine power. the AA guy said it was low fuel with an air lock. we fueled the car up and it ran for 5 miles then stopped again. if you dissconect the pipe that brings fuel from the tank nothing comes out. the fuse guide says there should be a fuse under the back seat but there is not could it be a relay? if i put 12v across the fuel pump should it work. sometimes the car will start and run for a few seconds then cut out
I have a strong feeling fuel filter inside tank is clogged up,in which case you have to take filter out of tank and cleaned it. No need to buy new one, just clean it good.
Make sure your fuel tank is cleaned also. Good luck.
