I am sure this question has been asked many times but I am new to this forum and I need some help.
I need an AMF (air mass sensor) for a 1996 E320. The Bosch number on the part is 000 094 05 48 and it also has this number below that one 0 280 217 500.
What's a good source for MB parts? I am looking for good price, service, and fast shipments.
I second the vote for Rusty (www.Buy MB Parts.com -- remove the spaces). Rusty has a reputation for unquestionable honesty.
A few years ago, I needed a new radiator for my 450SL. A company advertised the radiator (and confirmed that it was in-stock) at a price several hundred dollars cheaper than Rusty or anyone else. I called Rusty to see if he'd match the price, but he couldn't. He told me that he was certain the other company could not provide the radiator at such a low price. Rusty said he was so confident that he'd bet me $200 that I wouldn't get the radiator from them.
I ordered the radiator from the other company, took pictures, and sent a letter to Rusty reminding him of his wager. A week later, I got a check in the mail for $200! Rusty is a man of his word.
But the story doesn't end there. I took the radiator to my mechanic to have it installed. It turns out they sent me the wrong radiator! Although it was labeled with the correct part number, the radiator was for a different car. The hose fittings weren't even on the correct side of the car.
I returned that radiator, got a refund, and bought the correct part from Rusty (and I gave him his $200 back). I've been a loyal customer of Rusty's ever since.
