Checking Hydraulic Fluid level '02 wagon

I've gone thru the Owner's Manual a couple of times and cannot find any reference to checking the level of the hydraulic oil on my 2002MY W210T.

Is appears to be slightly below the "MIN" mark on the tank and right at the "MIN" level on the small dipstick. I'm not sure if the car is supposed to be up to operating temp when checking or if the car is supposed to be running when checking.

Any insight?

Thanks.

There is a dip stick in the plastic tank. A small black knob is located just north of the fill cap.

Zill, thanks for your reply. I did check that small dipstick and the fluid level is at the MIN mark...not sure if the fluid is checked hot or cold? engine running or switched off?
