RE: blinking gas light

Check the gas cap. I read in my manual the other day that the if the gas cap is loose, the low fuel light will flash. If that doesn't help, then I'm out of ideas.

Good Luck,
Jeff

F18lumpy, you look like you're having a great time in your hot-rod with wings. I envy your job. Went to an air show today with my family. No F18s but there was a cool vintage B-25 bomber there that was buzzing around.

RE: blinking gas light

drove again for about 20 minutes and the gas light started blinking AND the check engine light came on at the same time...pulled over and checked the gas cap and it was loose.

tightened the cap and the gas light stopped blinking but the engine light is still on.....anyone else with any ideas on this??does the engine light possibly have to just be reset i hope

RE: blinking gas light

I had a similar problem with our SL shortly after getting fuel - - -I tightened the cap and the fuel light went out - -check engine reset itself overnight but came on again a few days later.

Ended up replacing the two oxygen sensors in front of the cats. Not sure that the two were related, but that was the end result after reading/resetting the codes.
Good luck--
