Rear view mirror

Can anybody tell how to remove rear view mirror?
Model E230,'96.

First remove the light and sunroof switch assembly. then you'll see how to get it off. good luck

Hold each end of the mirror firmly and pull straight down hard. The mirror shaft is held in the base by springs and it takes a pretty good pull to remove it. There may be some wires in the shaft going to the base so be careful about making a wild snatch.
