I can get you a set of Depo headlight (projector style), retrofited with BMW or Mercedes projector, and Infinity ballast (one of the few won't cause lamp failure msg).
If interested, email me at hhbk@yahoo.com. I've done several for other. Check out other Benz forum for more info
Stuff like illuminated door sill or chrome cluster rings are only $40-50/set, yet really enhance the look of your car
You can also add TV and MP3 JukeBox, and run wire directly to the head unit to make the whole thing look stock. Mount radar on top, and you get yourself quite a piece of machine :D
My Wagon has factory MB Xenons. Even if I dident have them, and I wanted them, I wouldent go with aftermarket stuff. I would spend the cash and get MB Xenons.
Originally, Mercedes stick with reflector headlight even for xenon, which is known to work best w/ HID light. The result is that the xenon in early E, S, and ML model is way off compared to other German rivals. They eventually switched to projector xenon all all models now.
That's why when mention about xenon, you always heard of Audi or BMW, but hardly hear of Mercedes (not on old model). Projector style xenon give you superior light in term of cut-off beam and light intensity. Reflector style is just so and so. Simply put, the W211 (bi-xenon, projector) xenon is a zillion time better than the W210 (single xenon, reflector). We're talking about pretty much same bulb color (Philips 4300K) and same type of ballast here (Philips 35W).
Using aftermarket projector for xenon is bad, due to their lousy quality. But using the projector from BMW or Audi will give you exact light output as BMW or Audi: better cut-off, further beam, more intense.
I guess it's personal choice: OEM reflector xenon, or custom projector one.
