Multi-function steering wheel

Hi,

The buttons on my MF steering wheel are pretty worn. Does anyone know if I can replace them separately from having to put a whole new wheel on the steering column?

If so, anyone have experience trying to remove them?

Thanks Jeff

RE: Multi-function steering wheel

I am having the same problem with my car. I bought by car used and who every had the car before me really abused not only the buttons on the steering wheel but the airbag cover as well. I contacted my local MB dealer and they informed that if I wanted to replace the airbag cover, I would have to replace the entire airbag unit which comes with the multifunction buttons. They quoted me a price of about $800- $900. Unless you can find the parts used somewhere, I think you are going to have to replace the entire airbag unit if you want to just replace the buttons.

I hope to be wrong on this, so if anyone has any sugguestions on how to replace the buttons or the airbag cover individually, I would appreciate it as well.[:)]
