I recently bought a 2001 E430 that was already lowered. It has a negative camber problem in the front. I was told that no one sells a camber kit for this car and the only way to fix this is to install larger springs. Does anyone else have this problem? I really don't want to raise the car because I like the look and ride. On the other hand, I don't want to be going through tires every 15k miles.
There are Adjustable Camber Bolts that are available from the dealer(Front only), you will need 2 on each front wheel...Im assuming that you have an increased negative camber...MB sells the Front Bolts as an option in cases when you drop the car significantly and cannot attain within normal camber range by adjusting the Toe-In... You can decrease the negative camber by having your alignment specialist Increase the Toe-In on both front wheels (technique used by track cars to improve traction). Increasing the Toe-In would decrease the negative camber...BTW, i have H&R Sports with 1/4 coil cut in the Front, #1 pads, and i still got within normal negative camber range in the front after doing this technique...Its been 9k miles since i lowered my car and all 4 tires are even[:D].
