the very little light on the bottom of the temperature control unit has just gone out so at night, the display no longer illuminates. The light is so small, wondering who would have it? Or is it something only mercedes can order and overcharge for it?
if you are referring to light that illuminates the
temperature reading when AC is on which is located under the radio.
then you have to get radio removal tools to pull out the bracket.
under $5 for tiny bulb at MB dealer
tools sold on Ebay around $20
If you are talking about something else
please give more details or a picture of problem
Good Luck

RE: replacing the temperature control light
Pull the ac control module the same way you would remove the radio. Replace the bulb in the bottom of the unit.

It's about a 30 second repair with the stereo removal keyes. Pop them in the slots; pull the unit out and replace the light. Easy, easy, easy...and remember, the climate control lighting is not as bright as your stereo light.
Also, I got my removal tool (keys) on e-bay for around $10 + $3 for the buld at dealer and it took less than 60 seconds.
Tip: Go ahead and get an extra buld so you will have it if you need it!
Thanks for the info guys[:)] i bought the keys on ebay for $9 shipped. i called the dealer for the bulbs and i was told that they didnt have any. [:(!] where else can the bulbs be acquired? thanks again.
