HELP: Check Engine, Engine Electronics ON

I washed the engine of my 97 E320 and drove it home right after that and didn't drive it for a couple of days. My wife drove it about 5 miles to work this morning and it drove fine. When she left work, the Check Engine, Engine Electronics light came ON. The car is idling rough and I can very well tell that the engine has hissing/missing.
Can anyone please advise me on this?

Thanks much

Paul

Sounds like a Plug End Connector got wet..
Go To a Auto Zone and have them run a scan on your car..The Stored code (DTC) will tell you what it is

RE: HELP: Check Engine, Engine Electronics ON

Thanks guys. I took the car to my local German automotive place and thats exactly what the diagnostic tool came up with. #2 plug supposedly is misfiring and I am 100% sure its wet. The guy is going to work on it tomorrow.
I'll keep you guys posted in it. By the way thanks Carlo$. I used to have a 300ZX and can relate to some of the similar issues there as well.

Thanks again

Paul
