For all the DIYrs... I'm looking to do an oil change on my '98 e320 and have located everything but the oil drain plug... Can anyone tell me exactly where it is underneath this car?
I'm not doing the topsider method - so no instruction is needed here.
I've located a pan/plug just behind the front tires (approx. between the front doors)... is this the oil or tranny pan/plug. [?]
What you are seeing is the tranny drain plug. The oil plug is directly under the engine area on the passenger side. There is a fairly large plastic cover that has 4 small bolts holding it in place. Remove the cover and you will see the plug.
