How many miles on your W210

I have 44,000 miles on my 98 E320. I was wondering if these V6 engines will go long like the old inline 6 from the pre-1993 W124. I have had 2 of those W124 and put over 200,000 on each. Still have one running strong.
Anybody out there have over 200,000 miles on a W210? If so, how has the maintenance been?

59,500 miles on my E-420. The power in that motor is awesome. Thank God for the ASR! No oil or coolant missing.
I put more than 170,000 m on my two previous W-124´s in perfect motor condition. No rattles in the cabin. Strong construction feeling.
Time will tell, but my impression is that the W-124 is a better built car than W-210.

I found a e420 a month ago (4/05) with 36500 miles. So far so good, I checked out the service records and a lot of little annoyance type things were taken care of under warranty. I had considered a s500 coupe before this but I think I'm satisfied with this.

3 yrs later I'm more than satisfied with the car as a daily driver. Onl thing I've done in 3 yrs is replace the steering wheel and shift knob with wooden ones.

74000 miles.. I've put the same miles in 3 yrs the 1st owner put in 8 :)

Zam,

Did you also change cap and rotor? What about tranny fluid/filter? Mercedes says don't touch the tranny filer and fluid, but I have a hard time with that.

Regardless of what MB/DC says my local dealer changed the fluid in my tranny at 60k, and advises me to get it done again in another 60k. Lets be realistic there is no such thing as "lifetime lubrication" or whatever MB/DC are calling it nowdays.

I am hearing every 40K miles to 60K miles, I had mine on my E430 done at 60K and will have it done next week again at 50K. That "don't change it" is very old advice

Mine is now up to 110K miles. My Dad bought it new and just putted around town in it - I am doing

My '00 E320 just turned 80,000 miles.

Was there someone from Copenhagen (above) with 535,000 Kilometers on his W210 ??? That would be right up there...
