Check Bulb Malfunction Warning

I have a 2000 W210 E-Class.

I recently installed some PIAA Dual LED bulbs into the Front Bumper Side Markers of my car (I have Euro Spec Clear Side Markers).

I keep getting a Malfunction Warning, saying "Check Bulbs".

Does anyone know how to get around this?

LED do not draw much current

Since LED do not draw much current the light malfunction detector thinks your light is out. You can:

1. replace it with the normal incadescent light bulb.
2. apply a resistor across the two wires to draw more current to mimick normal bulb function. I think 100 Ohm 2 W resistor will do.
