MY 2000 - E320 4matic wagon

Folks,
need some advise please. I am thinking of upgrading the wheel / tire combination on my MY 2000 4 matic wagon. Can you please advise the suitable upgrade path. I currently have the stock wheels.

Does the wheel upgrade improve the drive / handling also.

What is the best size to upgrade to. I am not much into having the biggest wheel in the world but whatever improves the ride/ handling.

Thanks a bunch.

RE: MY 2000 - E320 4matic wagon

I upgraded to the E430 Sport wheels.

They are 17" in diameter and I can't remember the width. The tires have also been increases in width by 20mm to 235/45R17.

The handling hasn't seemed to suffer from it and I haven't noticed any gain either. I don't drive the car hard. I have a sportbike for that.

www.tirerack.com would be a good place to start looking for info.
