Head leaking oil. Yikes!

And I mean the head on the car...

Just got back from my local mechanics shop. He put dye in the oil and found that oil is coming out of the area of the head gasket. My ride is a 1997 E320. Great car!
Anybody had oil leaking from this area? Any other threads on this? Is it a common problem? Think I should take it to a dealer or a local shop that works on Mercedes?
Thanks for reading this post.

RE: Head leaking oil. Yikes!

The 103/104 Engine is KNOWN to Leak from the Front Cam Cover and The Head Gasket..Done Several!
The Job can be Done in 3 to 4 Hours by a Good MB Tech..
8 Plus for a Slow Tech...
Do a search on the 103/104 Engines...You WILL See the Oil Leak Problems..
When The Head is off..Remove the EGR pipe and Clean it out...and reseal the rear heater connection at the rear of the cylinder head..a LOT faster with the Head off!
