I have recently read different post referencing an e420 as sport. What makes one e420 a sport model and the other not? ie., what are the extra features? I could have this whole thing confused.[V]
i had a 1999 e320 and got rid of it for a 2001 e320 sport.....the differences i noticed are stiffer suspension,bigger rims and the complete spoiler package around the whole car.
probably the same for the e420....and by the way it says "sport" right behind the front wheel well on the trim.
Are you sure the suspension is stiffer?
I ask this because the part number for the shocks of the E420 and the Sport are the same.
In the description of the "Sport" package says that special features are: bigger rims (17)and sport tires, spoiler and skirt kit, projector fog lamps, sport shift knob, and sport badge on the side.
It doesn´t say anything about suspension.

it feels stiffer and when i had my 99 e320 my tires rubbed in the front when i hit a big bump and now with the 01 e320 sport there is no rub even on the biggest bump with a full car.
