b. Is it a plug and play setup?
c. What do I need x-tra to install them and how hard
is the installation?
Thank u in advance. Also if anyone has done it b 4, can u please write down step by step on how to install them..thanx again

RE: Upgrading headlights...

Make sure you get 2000-2002 model headlights as the 96-99 are slightly different and will not fit your car unless you modify them. Other than that they should be plug and play. You'll have to take your front bumper off to swap the lights out in a 2000. It's probably a 1.5 hour job. To get your bumper off: take off both front wheels and put car on jack stands, remote plastic internal fender shields, look around on bumper and there's about 3 bolts on each side that hold the bumper on.

RE: Upgrading headlights...

Since you already have xenons you should get the xenon ready projectors for m.y. 2000+. I got mine from procarparts though ebay. You will, however, have to chenge your bulb to D2S. It is Plug and Play.

A body shop is handling my install only because some one hit me [V]and gave me a great oppurtinuity to save money[:D]. I have checked the new assemblies and they will fit in my 99 no prob. One more thing: the parking bulb has changed to a w5w, aka 192?

RE: Upgrading headlights...

I can't stress how important it is for you to get the right headlights for your car (post 1999 model & Xenon specific). If you get it wrong you'll be kicking yourself till you either get the right ones or you'll just plain give up.

The In-Pro model for your car is 43610 (the 33610 is for the W210 till 1999)

Here's what it looks like once you get it right (note my car is a 1998 so your's will be a little different)

Good Luck

RE: Upgrading headlights...

Hi all,

My name is Rohan and I am very new to this web site.

I used to own an E300 1989 model and she was a real dream, loved the car until some crazy nut rammed into it while it was parked in front of my office. Apparently, the driver was saved coz he hit my rear tire and ended saving quiet an impact, which in turn saved his life.

I finally ended having a broken rear axel and a damaged rear bumper. I had the car for four years and not a scratch. It is in the garage getting fixed...

I have just picked up a E320 1998 model and it’s a beauty. I have this one problem i.e. my front headlight covers/lamps look dull and foggy. Can I replace just the lamp covers? Or alternatively, do I have to change the whole case? Also is that an expensive job to get done.

In addition, I like what Strom has done to his car ...nice one. (What do I need to have lamps like that Strom?

Please advise...

Thanks - Roh

Roh,
You can get the headlight just like Storm on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33710&item=7949234 796&rd=1
or you can just replace the lens on your old one.

Good luck!!
