The parking/standing lamp burned out on my 1999 E320 4Matic and I am having difficulty identifying the the appropriate replacement bulb. The Owner's manual only describes the bulb as "H 6W (6 W bulb)". I can't find a replacement bulb with that description. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
You are correct the bulb type is a H6W. I have a 2000 E430 and I found a set of matching bulbs for my Sylvania's on eBay which I'm waiting shipment. If you can wait I'll send you one of the stock bulbs when I remove them.

Thanks for the offer. I'm looking for the name/description of the bulb so I can replace it locally.
Any local auto parts store that has parts for euro cars should be able to get you H6W bulbs. That is what they are called - although here is a link to a sight with all known cross-references and lots of other cool info about the bulbs - http://donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/h6w-ll.html
I had the same bulb die on the wife's 4Matic Wagon. I searched everywhere, but no local parts places carried it. 'Napa' said they could get it but I would have to buy a box of 100!
It is located in an unusual location in their system (Tools & Hardware-->Halogen Bulb), but it is the right bulb (12V 6Watt). They're cheap from this place, so I bought 2 and replaced them on both sides (along with some oil and air filters to get free shipping).
