E300 TURBO DIESEL HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, just need your help I own a 190e cosworth & recently purchased a E300 turbo diesel Avantgarde, what I need to know is I am havin issues with the car when pulling from 70 -100 mph its very sluggish. It does not go over 100 mph either this cant be normal. It pulls away slugish too I know the car is heavy but a 3 litre turbo should have a bit more kick then that. Any ideas do you think the Injectors need to be cleaned or refurbished or would there be somthing else?? Please tell me how your motor responds it would be appreicated.

RE: E300 TURBO DIESEL HELP!!!!!!!!!

My friend had the same problem, we found it to be all linked to a faulty air flow sensor. Once we changed it for a new one it all smoothed itself out. Only change it IF you need to, because they are quite expensive.

Good luck.

Storm seems to have offered something to check. A dealer can probably tell you if the codes show that to be the problem. I CAN tell you that reaching past 100MPH is not a problem. Mine will quickly wind up past 130 indicated.

The MAF should throw a code if defective. If it is defective one can replace the somewhat fragile Bosch sensor with a more reliable Pierburg sensor. Both are MB parts and the Pierburg is cheaper to boot. See my post:http://www.benzworld.org/forums/foru...sp?tid=1185581

There are a lot of other things to look at. Does the turbo spin? Does the wastegate close? It is closed by a vacuum control by the ECU.
