I have been searching the W210 archives and i cant seem to get any decent info as to how to fit a command into a 98 210, and what parts are needed to make it work.
A step by step guide would be ideal, but any info is welcome as I'm seriously thinking on going all the way with my E280.
Please note that it is a Late 98, currently using an Audio 30 w/ CD changer.
After fitting the command, would it be possible to hook up a phone in the car as well, which would work with the command? (I know I would obviously have to fit a mic near the rear view mirror)
Comand retrofit in a 1998 W210 is possible. You can purchase complete self installation kits from steve@mbenznl.com.
Since your car is a Euro spec, it requires more parts and more time to get a phone kit installed compared to the US spec cars - which come prewired. The microphone is one thing you need to add... I don't know exactly what else is needed for the phone install, but maybe someone else can help you with that.
