ABS/BAS-ESP lights on and no brake lights

I took my e320 into the stealership today after being informed that my brake light switch was the cause of my problem. After replacing the brake light switch they then informed my the that was not the problem but the problem was brake booster switch. Does anyone have any idea if this switch exist ??????

I can't find any reference to it.....

Regards,

niwred

RE: ABS/BAS-ESP lights on and no brake lights

I think i may have that same god damn problem. I've replaced the brake switch several times and that is not the problem. Unfortunatly the "stealership" is the only place thats really qualified to do this repair. As far as the brake booster switch goes ive never heard of it but hell, who knows.

RE: ABS/BAS-ESP lights on and no brake lights

I have the same problem in my -97 300TDT. The "stealership" replaced the ABS/ESP hydraulic unit (1500€), ABS/ESP ECU (1200€) and finally the brakepedal switch (16€). The brake pedal switch is infact two switches; brake light and BAS/ESP. There is a so called "BAS switch" in the vacuum servo unit (cost 54€), it measures the brake power.

RE: ABS/BAS-ESP lights on and no brake lights

I had a similar problem, although had no problem with the brake lights. Randomly the ABS/BAS-ESP lights on and tha red parking brake light on would came on and after awhile would go off. After all it was a faulty relay unit that is infront of the ABS module, under the plastic cover. It costs only 100 euro. The mech said its common to that relay unit to go crazy. I hope you all get lucky.
