EL. TRACTION SUPPORT what the F#@K!

Now for the third damb time i've taken my car in for this friggin problem. It seems to be associated with the brake's, but IS NOT the brake switch under the dash (i had that thing replaced twice) Could it have something to do with the my wheels? Or maybe the lowering springs? HELP I KNOW IM NOT ALONE!!!! [V][?]

Hey guyz, I got the same problem, it also shows me ABS indication and my cruise control is not working. Is it the cheap brake switch problem or a tap on the pocket job!

I also realised that my traction control is not working and last nite I almost hit sum1 'coz my car slipped without engaging ABS.

Any suggestions?

have you checked your alternator? ABS is very sensitive to voltage supplied to them. please update it here if you found the culprit. im surely want to know too. [:)][:)][:)]

Springs won't make any difference to the system at all, but staggered wheels with a significant difference in front/rear tire circumference will. What are your front/rear tire sizes?

also u may check your westinghouse system. when i was driving on highway suddenly heard a blow sound from front of my car then ESP BAS system errors appeared on the dash.

first i thought brake switch under the pedal but it wasnt. so continued to checking systems then i found the damn error from my westinghouse and ESP control unit. i changed both and it is fixed now. it costs about 1800 euro [:(!]

RE: EL. TRACTION SUPPORT what the F#@K!

I figure this warning is caused by both the combination of the staggered wheels (235/40/18 and 275/35/18) and the beaten alternator in my car. Im pretty sure the ABS/ETS lights came on shortly after I upgraded the sound system in my benzo. Hopefully the control box is not broken like you mentioned.

I've noticed now that I have a deep cycle battery and a dampening capacitor, accompanied by a new set of tires, that the ABS/ETS warning does not show up as often.

I just wish it would go away completely!!!

Thanks guys for you input...

RE: EL. TRACTION SUPPORT what the F#@K!

I too have had the same ABS>ETS light thing comming up on my dash and it dose my head in. The first time it happened I tried differetn things and unplugged the ECU to check to see if it was connected asI was missing a clip, When I plugged it back in the ABS/ETS lights stayed off for about 4 months! then they stsrted to come back again... and now they only stay away for about 15mins each time... I have changed the brake light swith and had the faults cleared, still no joy.... help
