I'm interested in getting a quicker response from my accelerator. The car has enough power for me, but I don't like the initial lag immediately after depressing the accelerator.
Someone mentioned that I need to modify the throttle body. I seem to think that putting on a free flow exhaust system or removing the catalytic convertor would do the trick.
I would also like to get a sportier growl like on the the CLK430, which I believe is just a different exhaust.

RE: Sport appeal for E430
Upgrade your exhaust system and drop in a K&N airfilter. A different set of wheels would look good too.

I think that a software upgrade would remove the inital lag the you are feeling from startup.
When you press the accelerator, you tell the computer that you want to accelerate, then the computer adjusts the fuel to suit. This creates a small lag and improves fuel economy as it only dumps in enough fuel to get the job done, not extra.
