CLK Door Pins.
I replaced the golf tee style lock pins on my E-Class with 2 sets from the CLK.

E-Klasse, I found it very strange that you had those golf tee style door pins in your 210. All of my Mercs came with the ones you fit just now. Is the golf tee looking one the standard one on the US spec cars?
I'm sure it looks so much better now, considering the old ones look like something out of a datsun or 1970's corolla.
Still, thanks alot for all the info/help till now. Take it easy[8D]
I was in Arizona this last week, and quite amazed by how few benzes I saw in and around Phoenix & Tucson. Certainly less than 10 - and the only e-class I was able to examine did indeed have old style 'golf tee' lock pins. Just goes to show how crazy a lot of the car regulations can be; in the UK, we have given up on golf tee pins after a spate of thefts done by manouevring a loop of packing tape through the window seal, hooking the lock pin with it and relying on the 'golf tee' part to give enough traction to open the door.

That might have been because of the area you were in. Go up to Scottsdale and you will see more. One of the biggest MB dealerships is in Chandler AZ on the way to Tucson. I was in London last month and saw lots of Benzes there. Most were CDIs or they were de-badged.
If only I had known, we could have done a house-swap!
London is, by comparison, a hotspot for benzes; most of the deisels are chauffeur cars these days, which is why I get such an attitude off black cab drivers - they naturally assume that a debadged MB saloon or estate is a "working car" and don't give you a break.
