Works good. They need a software update on the ECM to firm shifts. I have had my car overrev. and hit the limiter before shifting to 2nd. a couple of times. Supposedly in the works. Also have a loud fuel pump, and haven't had them replace it yet. My 430 dyno'd at 385 hp at the crank before it had a lot of "learn in" time and with the stock exhaust. I'm guessing 395 HP with good gas and the AMG exhaust. The new system should make more power when it's available.

You took it to an engine dyno or that's what you are calculating from a DynoJet chassis dyno?
With cheesy gas and immediately after the install, 315.58 HP at the tires using a DynoJet 248C dyno. Standard 1.22 correction = 385.007 HP at the crank tested to SAE J1349. I don't think the exhaust helped as much as the break in period. It felt little stronger after about 10 days, but I can't say I felt much difference from the exhaust.
18% loss is reasonable for the 210's tranny. My 560 SEC had 346 rwhp at 7 psi and no intercooler. I'm going to run her around 15 psi with an intercooler and see what she'll do.

Fast430,
Did you do a baseline run on the dynojet prior to the HPS s/c install? Any ideas what your rwhp & rwtq gains were? I noticed your in Ventura and being that I'm in the SFV area, just wondering who did the HPS install?
SEC, are these motors safe to 15 PSI? Do you know what the differences are on 55 VS 430 trannys? Can anything be done to improve the 430 trans?
HPS picked up my car and took it to Mech Tech motor sports and returned it after the install and dyno runs. Typically they give you the before and after dyno runs. I have them at home but I don't have the stock numbers with me (at work now). I believe with the 1.22 factor it was 272 HP stock, which is believable.
A 1.18 factor would be 372 HP after the SC, so over 100 HP gain. The negatives are the need for an ECM upgrade that is also supposed to be in the works and Adam has promised free of charge. It's nothing major, but the car has hit the rev limiter a few times on the 1-2 shift. My fuel pump has gotten loud, and the hotter it is, the worse it sounds (Adam says they will replace it). They use a Powerdyne FMU that actually incorporates a Porsche fuel pump (go figure), but it works fine. It may be the source of a stumble that I get, especially at high altitudes and temps. Usually runs just fine, just had a slight stumble when accelerating from a 60 -70 mph cruise coming and going to Vegas, and once over the grapvine. Nothing drastic, but I had a code in the ECM (can't remember the number) for left or right bank too rich? Never had a MIL, never had any discernable detonation at any temp, just grins for days.

I believe the E55's are programmed for faster shifts, are beefed-up to handle more power, and have positive locking torque converters. I think the dealership can reprogram the tranny for faster shifts. There is a huge difference in feel between the two trannys. It's like night and day.

Fast430...thnx for the writeup
Hope the ECM upgrade gets resolve by HPS! Knowing Adam he's very adamant in keeping his customers happy [:D]
