Power Loss E300TD advice please - Benzworld.org

Hi all, My '98 E300TD (93Kmls)has given me pulsating delivery cruising at 70MPH for a few seconds. Immediately after it cleared, I had loss of power/responsiveness. Feels like Turbo is gone. Stopped and re-started, problem gone but came back after 30 mins.
Shes just been serviced. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, although it was on my gas motor. My left-side catalytic convertor started to breakdown, causing cylinder misfire error codes.

However, you have a diesel engine, and I am not sure if it has a cat. It must though.

Did your check engine light come on when you ahd the loss of power? Mine came on immediately.

Hi Dan, no my light never came on. I think that our symptoms whilst similar have different causes. I'm inclined to suspect the Mass Air Filter or the tubes connected to the Turbo. I need to get her on the ramp for an hour or two. Thanks for the input though.
