Just like the title says. My car will be off the powertrain warranty in Novemeber and I want to get the 96,000km service taken care of then (currently at 86,000).
So what is involved? What do I have to get the dealer to do, what can I do at home easily (cabin filter, air filter, charcoal filter, tire rotation).
If someone has a list of items that they had done at their service, that would be great.
I do all the service on my '99 E300TD and just follow the recommendations in the manual. Some items are mileage determined. Others are done with an A or B service. Not even sure if the 2000 MY cars still call it an A and a B service. The dealer also has a great trifold form that guides them through the required services. I picked up a few of those from the dealer and it makes the procedure easy to follow. I have found that I ned to change the cabin air filters about every 15,000 miles. I think the manual calls for changing them every 30,000 miles.
