Is the red light in the SOS button supposed to be on or off when driving, if one in NOT subscribed to TeleAid?
I took my 2000 E430 4Matic to the dealer because this light intermitently stayed on along with the "i" and wrench lights illuminating red. They found fault with the control module and replaced it under warranty. Now the SOS light stays on all the time, the "i" and wrench lights are clear (not red). The dealer said to bring it back and they'll check the version coding.
Where this has never worked right, I don't know what's normal.
