missing switch

HI EVERYONE NEWBIE HERE. JUST BOUGHT A 97 E420 AND I AM MISSING A SWITCH ON THE CENTER CONSOLE ITS THE SWITCH BETWEEN THE DRIVERS WINDOW AND THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW BUTTON. CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT GOES HERE ALL I HAVE IS A WHITE HOLE. ALSO DO I HAVE TO BUY THIS SWITCH (BUTTON FROM THE DEALER)?

I think it was the passenger airbag seat sensor light. (Driver side in the UK & pakistan is on the right).

If i rememeber correctly the switch on the right was for the child safety seat,... but i could be wrong. Old age is kicking my ass!![:(!]

That is the rear window lockout switch to disable the rear window switches that are on the rear doors. You can't get just one switch as far as I know. It is one module that has the window, side mirror controls and the trunk switch. Lift the wood panel around the shifter and you will see that it is all one piece.

It is very easy to do yourself. It just snaps in place under the wood shift panel. It's a 5 minute job. You can find them on ebay or from Silver Star Recycling.
