EC on Climate control always on

The EC button on my 1997 e320 stays on constantly and never goes off. I know this prevents the compressor from engaging. I checked the freon level and it's normal. Somebody help me !

There is obviously something wrong. You must pull any codes from the unit to detirmine whats bad.I Believe there is a way to do this from the unit yourself but you must have the info on what each code means. Perhaps you should take it to a dealer

I have the same problem or at least the same symtom.

You have to read out sensors and errorcodes from the climate control display and figure out if there is something that sticks out.
