window sunblind

Hi all,

Does any body have side or rear window sunblind?
The part guy from dealership doesn't know whether it is retractable or not. and doesn't even have any pictures of them. I see new E-class has those as option and they are retractable.

RE: window sunblind

These are the part numbers for the rear door window sun shades. They are retractable and mount on the on top of the inside door panel. The shades have little flat hooks that attach to the top of the window and will go up and down with the glass.

Here are the part #s:

6 6 69 1306
6 6 69 1307

Note: When ordering from the stealer, you must say they are for a '96 or '97 E-class. For latter years with the side curtain air bag, they are not available. Or at least, they are not approved.

RE: window sunblind

Hi,

I have installed a rearwindow blind myself in my E-Class of 1996.

It is a electrically operated unit. You need the next parts to start with:
- Rollo
- Rollo shelf
- Original Rollo Wiring
- Original Rollo switch

The old shelf in the back is already marked on the backside where to cut off. The new shelf covers only the last part where the rollo is fixed. The old shelf and the new are connected to eachother by a "U" shaped entry in the new shelf.

The switch is located in the middle console near the adjuster switch for both side mirrors.

If you need the MB part numbers then I can find them for you.

Msmax.
