E-430 Musty Cabin...Can anyone out there help???

My 2000 E430 with 59,000 mi. seems to trigger my allergies whenever I turn on the A/C! Also, the A/C unit seems to be making a gurgling sound. I think the car was owned by a smoker at one time. I also suspect that the A/C condenser draining system may be clogged because I never see water on my garage floor when I have used the A/C unit.

Anyone out there ever encounter this? Could this be a "Dust Filter" problem? Should I insist that my MB dealer change out all the A/C filters including the charcoal filter, or would I be wasting my money to do all these things? Can I fix the problem by changing just the dust filter?

Any Suggestions?[:(!][:(!]

Have both filters changed AND have the condensate drain cleared. It most likely is clogged. While the dealer is in there have him spray the stuff that kills the mildew. Sounds to me like no one did any maint on the system

Sounds like no filters there. Not likely to clog with filters present. Have drains cleared, both filters changed. Spray Lysol through the intake under windsheild with blower on high. Problem solved. ps.. there are products available for this.
