RE: E420 DOHC Plug Changes
I was just going to reply to your post about not using platinum plugs. The coppers are the best for it. Even though the +4s have the Bosch name on them, they are still pieces of crap.

You all mentioned about copper plug. I am not very technical about plug. Can you please be very specific about the brand, code number that you can recommend? I own an W210 E200 Year 2001. Your help will be appreciated.

Well I bought those +4 because my parents came to visit me and they went way past their 60K service. Since the dealer is closed on Sunday, so I went to Pepboys and hoped getting whatever "best" they have is ok for the E420. Then I called my friend who has a shop that does Benz restoration, and he told me couple of his clients got screwed when they used the +4 so I drove to his shop and "borrow" a box of the copper O.E. plugs. Normally I am a big fan of NGK plugs as I replaced the ones in my ML320 with the Iridum spark plugs. It worked well in mine. Now I guess BOSCH +4 really means "plus four more hours of labor"
I dunno what the E200 uses exactly but the BOSCH european spark plug product name is called "SUPER" which is normally the O.E. spark plug found in Mercedes Benz.
I just went to BOSCH UK's site and looks they are marketing the new series call Super Yttrium ... wOoOOoOOoOOo ... I've learned my lesson ...
