I have a 97 E320 with the factory radio. The volume control is very strange - sometimes turning clockwise just a small amount will cause the volume to go off completely and have to be reset to "normal" parameters using the procedure in the owners manual. Same for turning counter clockwise. Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

RE: Radio volume control
Is the car moving while you are adjusting the volume? The stereo also has an automatic volume adjustment that increases the volume as the speed of the car increases. You can disconnect this input on the back of the stereo.
