I have 2003 clk 320 (W209). There is a ticking noise coming from the inside of my passenger side door panel whenever I hit bumps. It's really annoying. The window works perfect but the noise just started 3 days ago. I think something is either loose in there or something broke.
How can i remove the door panel to see? Do you have dealer directions? Should i take it to the dealer? I don't want to get ripped off if it's a simple fix like tightening something in there or replacing a small piece.
Please let me know if you have directions on how to remove the door panel and if i should do it on my own.
Turns out it was a loose bolt for the window regulator. My mechanic told me if i had gone to the dealer, they would have made me change the entire regular ($300+). Glad i have an honest guy. Fixed it for $30 by tightening the bolt. No more noise.
