I have an '05 CLK320 coupe. It has the Audio 20 system. My multi-finction computer doies NOT have settings for Date/Year or D.S.T. clock settings. The menue just isn't there. Accordign to the owners manual, it should be. It also does not have the Key-dependancy option in the menu. Accordig to the manual it should.
I took it to the dealership to look at it and was told "The date setting is for a different radio" and the key-dependacy was programmed. So what did I get? No date settings and they turned the Easy-entry feature on.
How should I handle this? I should have day/year settings and Key-dependancy correct? All W209s should, correct?

This probably will not help much - but is some background info.
My 2004 CLK also does not have settings for the clock on the Instrument Cluster display. But I can do this via my COMAND. My OM refers to setting the clock using the Time submenu only if you have a built-in Audio 10 or Audio 10 CD system.
It also states "If the vehicle is equipped with COMAND or Audio 30 APS, you can set the time via the audio system" There's no reference to Audio 20 - but this OM was for 2004.
The key-dependency, the easy-entry, and the parking position of the exterior mirrors is on my Convenience Menu, but these were 'options' when the car was ordered, so not all models will have this. [indicated in the OM by an *]
Thanks Keyhole! As I mentioned I have the Audio 20 which mean I do not have command. In the US, all cars are built to the same spec, I should have the Key dependant setting.
As it turned out, the technician in the shop ignored my request and didnt look into the situation. After having a heart to heart with my service rep, and showing him the manual which he PHOTOCOPIED (!?!?!?!) he wen to teh technician.
15 minutes later the situation was resolved. My cars sub-programming (in German) had these features turned off in the menu. They were there, just "dormant." They turned them on, and all is good. I have date, D.S.T. (a US thing) and Key Dependancy.
