I just purchased a new 2008 CLK 350 Cab about 3 weeks ago and I love it.
First time MB owner.
I purposely didn't want the Command Navigation System due to it relying on CDs for the maps. The problem with this is the fact that you will not always have the latest maps which means you will potentially be routed incorrectly. Therefore, I decided to continue to use my GPS on my iPhone. So, with this mind set I thought I could just add the ipod integration kit later. However, I have recently learned that the ipod text would not display unless used with a Command DVD Navigation System.
I want to listen to my iPhone (ipod) via my car audio system with the title of the songs displayed. Does anyone know where I can purchase a reasonably priced genuine Mercedes Benz Command DVD Navigation System and ipod kit? I’m located in Tx.
