Clear high brake light lens?

Hello all!

I am the proud new owner of a 2004 CLK55 AMG Cab I am very happy with the car except for a few issues. The most important right now being the broken/cracked high brake light lens which I have learned is a common problem.

What I would like to know is if they make an aftermarket lens in clear instead of red. I have looked all over with no luck. Has anyone seen one, and where to buy it?

I think that you will find that as it is a brake light, it must be red to be legal everywhere. White light at the rear is only for reversing....

Right, that is what I was hoping to find. A clear lens with red LEDs.

I have searched all over, does anyone know where to buy this part? I have have had no luck searching for it...

good luck nick, I've been looking for a year now I did find one place that was selling them for $150 but he went out of business before I got one. if you find a place post the link please.

OK, this is what I found...

After searching all morning, I was able to find the newer model at the web site below for $140.00 including shipping. I searched by entering in the old part number and then crossing it to the new part number. I just ordered one

Sorry, this has the red lens. I could not find one with the clear lens and the red LEDs... But I needed to replace it so I settled on the standard red one.
