Had my 270 CDI W209 for about 3 weeks now, and still very pleased with it, so decided to do a little road trip from London from to the Black forest in southern Germany (not far from Stutgart!)
I crossed the English Channel on the Eurotunnel Train, then hit the motorways in France, then cruised at 85mph (often more) for hours on end, hit Germany and was cruising at 100-120mph (depending if Wifey was watching), saw some fantastic sights - left the Auto Bahns, cruised the Black forest for 24 hrs, and came back with a night in Paris.
Total miles accrued was 1150
average speed was 67mph
typical range was around 650 miles between fills
total mpg for the whole trip was 51.7mpg - all based in info from the cars display.
saw some nice classic Mercs on the way - look at the ones in front as well!
