How do I get sunroof to completely close with one touch?
My Sunroof in y 2005 CLK500 never closes when i click the button it goes almost all the way, and then stops as if it hit something, and goes back 3 or 4 inches. how can i get it to completely close with just one touch of the button?
try this: first turn the key in pos 2 do not start the car, then, make sure the sunruff is closed. now, hold the sunruff button open all the way and continue to hold it open for 10 seconds after sunruff is open all the way. then do the same while closing sunruff. this will anitialize the express open/close. try it out and let me know thanks!
I know exactly what this is. I just had this issue fixed. It seems that over the course of a 5 years or a bit less these sun roof gets grim and dirt build up. So you just have to clean it out very good and you should be good for another few years. I actually took mine in and it was done and they charged me next to nothing to do it.
