You have a CLK 270 CDI - a diesel. I'm sure a diesel owner can give you a steer on this problem. It's normal to read the fault codes for this type of fault - but you've got to get into a workshop for that. Unless you buy yourself a OBDII reader.
Can you direct me in a OBD2 reader i can purchase online? Or i have a obd2 lead i used with my old audi using vag com. Can i download any software for this lead? or will this lead not work?
Finally where is the OBD2 port on the car exactly?
Im just thinking... how accurate are the trip computer on these cars? it displays 7 miles left when i pulled up and when it conked out. I now hope it is diesel!!

When my low fuel warning comes on I can generally go another 25 - 30 miles. But I wouldn't rely on that Range indicator for the last few miles!
guess what? Im proud to be embarrased about this as im also more relieved. OUT OF FUEL. damn trip computer. The trip computer was so accurate on my old audi. oh well guess thats the end of letting her go into the reserve.
