Transmission problems with CLK 320

Hi Guys,

I have a USA clk 320 2005 with about 27k miles.I bought the car when i lived in the USA and took it to Ireland were i am now.
The warranty is crap over here and i moved from a 3 year 50k miles if memory serves correct,to a 2 year limited warranty.
I had the first leak i think it was transmisson that was sorted out under warranty. It involved some part being replaced and i am sorry for bring so vague,i cannot find the invoice for that problem.I was told that it was a common problem with MBS and it was sorted out quick.
I than had second leak that involved the "rocker covers and gaskets being replaced. That was done while i was having the second service done, and Germany refused to pay and i did it was about 700 euro.
So today i was parking and i shifted from drive to reverse and heard this noise,it was the gears changing and it was not very loud it got my attention.
The same when you change from reverse to drive or vice versa. Its like the gears are moving but with rather more noise than i have ever heard or noticed prior. From what i read here,it could be any number of things from software to fluid to?
Any thoughts on how i should progress i would be greatfull.
I am concerned that i now have another problem.I know very little about cars and much as i read the forums i cannot do much myself.
The cost of this stuff is so high here.It is probably about 3/4 times more than the USA.I am gonna have it looked at tomorrow.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
I am thinking of calling MB USA and asking them to sort out some of this stuff under warranty.I know the same warranty issues happen to people in the UK that bring there MBS to Ireland, they have to down grade to this warranty, they have i heard being able to call the UK and have some issues taken up in warranty. The reality is my car i am sure under the 3yr/50k would still be covered in the USA.I am thinking as i said that i will try the USA and see if this is serious to have them look into it.

search the nhtsa.gov website for TSB (Technical service bulletin) there is one that deals with transmission leaks.
