I use mostly mid grade fuel with occasional top ups with premium. No problem. Would suggest if you are going to push you engine accelleration have premium in the tank.

The reason is the ECU is set-up for at least 91 octane. If you use lower octane the ECU will pull timing (to prevent knocking)...this will effect gas mileage.

WTF would you use cheap gas over the good stuff? To save $3.50? Is that really worth risking anything? Here is the difference based on the current national average as of today. (usa) I am assuming a 13gal fill up.

@$3.70 * 13gal = $48.10 Regular
@$3.97 * 13gal = $51.61 Premium

How could someone be so cheap, especially driving a MB sports car? 1 simple repair would cost over 50 times what you would save by buying cheap fuel. Penny wise, Pound foolish.
