Hi there, Newbie here again and am wondering something about phones in CLK.
1. I remember reading in a post that all 2003 CLK500s were prewired for the phone option. That is why they have the rear antenna. It just mattered if you purchased it or not that they would provide the cradle. Is this true? ( I would check but I just purchased this car and it is not in my possesion until the check clears)
3. Finally how does it work? I mean quality. Are you guys happy with it. Is it only restricted to certain phones? And yes I read the list on the site but it is old. Is anyone using newer phones with it. Does the phone book or contact list show up on the dash?
Sorry to be the annoying new guy, but I research alot an will be able to help more in these forums as I play.
As far as the PUCK itself is concerned, I just put one in my wife's 2003 S500 and it is great. The car was already set up for a V60. It worked the first time around using an older phone that is not on the "list." Most, if not all, functions seem to be supported. You can get them for less than $300 on ebay. Yes, the phone book automatically downloaded and displayed both on the COMAND head unit and the instrument cluster multifunction display.

Hey thanks for the replies. I know this issue has been talked about but I do not see it anywhere on here for a 03-04 CLK500. That is why I posted it here for a more specific answer. If you click on the link you will see that this picture is a different puck that looks like it plugs in where the cradle would normally go on the V60 kit. That is why I was wondering about this one. It looks like more than just the puck you put in the existing car kit. It looks like the cradle is not needed and this plugs into the oversized jack in the console. So any more answers to this specific model bluetooth adapter and these years CLK500 would be greatly appreciated. The specs say it is for an 03-04 E class and isn't the CLK500 dash the same as an E class?
Here is more info I found on it and it says it is for CP211 teleaid. What verzion is in these CLK Models.

I have a person that is looking into it for me (bluetooth).
He already looked at my 04 CLK 500 and open up the arm rest remove the plastic box because we could not find the jack and he said it's pre-wired. Once I get more info I post up.
May be different from yours since I have papers, that my clk was shipped/built from Germeny from the dealership here in the USA.
