Question on UK insurance

any idea how much it would cost for an under 25? (23 to be accurate)...

Currently my x5 is £2000 - as a named driver, £7000 otherwise.

So wondering if it would be cheaper or the same for a CLK. just rough figures is good enough...

You can get online quotes from Norwich Union Direct. Switch vehicle model and drivers age to compare results.

thanks for replying....
most companies have the same process but usually at the end of 10 pages of online forms it says , error or cant qoute! annoying!

just wanted to compare with ppl....cos my x5 is £7000, and i wanted to see if it would be cheaper to sell it and get a CLK and hopefully get cheaper insurance.....

plus i need to have a GPS tracker installed (for insurance)

Trouble with comparing with other people is that your home postcode carries a large weight with your insurance premium. Also, I doubt whether there are many 23 y/o CLK owners here....

good luck though

I am 26 and in NI, looking at a clk320. Obviously being in NI and not mainland means it is more expensive. Anyhow, confused.com seems to be a good search engine and is quoting me about £600 with 7 years no claims on an 02/03 car.

To be honest, the only sensible way to decrease your costs is to drive a less powerful and less expensive car. The only guys I know driving what you are, at your age, dont have to worry about costs because Mummy and Daddy are entirely responsible.
