the first one is a Stock Mass produced car......

the sceond one has some freaky wide body kit.. look at the fenders... thats not a Mass-Produced CLK63.. looks like its at some car show..

The 2nd one seems like the F-1 pace car CLK63 AMG. The pace cars always get extra goodies.

If you look at the AMG homepage ( http://www.mercedes-amg.com/ ) you'll see that CLK63 coupe has four exhaust tips and the convertible only two... I wonder why?

I thought that all the 63's had a quad exhaust too. Possibly the convertible doesn't have space underneath due to the extra reinforcenment compared to the coupe that goes into strengthen the convertibles' chassis as it has no roof.

Close!

The reason is that the cabroliet's have a slightly different understructure to accomodate the spare tire when the roof is down.

Instead of being centered about the vehicle as in the coupe, the cabroliets have the spare tire well offset to the right and that does not leave enough room for the all of the necessary hardware.
