Hey everyone I found the 3rd brake light for cheap. For those of us who are out of warranty I found this site. Mercedespatssuperstore.com link below.

Mercedes Parts Superstore

Unfortunately I found it after I spent 140 bucks for one from the dealer. Originally they quoted me $172. I went to go pick it up and it was $140. Still wish I would have paid $68.

MINE CRACKED LAST NIGHT AND FELL OUT ON THE FLOOR, I TOOK THE BOOT TRIM LINER OFF AND ACCESSED IT FROM BEHIND, THE TWO NUTS WHICH CLAMP IT DOWN DO UP ONTO A FLANGE SO I THINK IT WOULD BE QUITE HARD TO OVERTIGHTEN THEM?
I GOT A PRICE FROM MERCEDES IN THE UK OF £65 +VAT, IVE GLUED MY COVER BACK ON AND REFITTED FOR NOW . TO BE FAIR YOU CANT NOTICE THE CRACK BUT I KNOW ITS THERE AND WILL PROBABLY GET A COMPLETE NEW UNIT AT SOME POINT.

My light was a little loose but not bad enough to replace. I went through a car wash the other day and it tore it off. I found out that they have insurance for things like this and you only need to fill out a simple form. They will cover the cost of the replacement.

I checked w/ the dealer here in Portland and they have them on hand. They said it cost about $150 and would cost 120-150 to install it. (which you could easily do yourself, so it seems) If they are cutting me a check, great; I'll do it. If they are just reimbursing me, the dealer can do it. lol
