So which 209 owner is eyeing a CLS as a future buy!!

I resisted the W211...and it was hard....the E55 AMG..simply a sleeping beast which loves to roar when awake. Awesome power...is all I can say!! Just something about styling which didn't "click" for me...and that's something very personal. But than some smart brain at MB came up with the CLS concept. It was the just the perfect choice for transition from a CLK platform. I doubt if any other car has ever excited me so much...just the thought of driving one of those CLS55s. So guys...will be the first to admit..I am a contender...waiting period here is another 10 months..so be it. Anyone else of my CLK brethren felt the CLS gust as I did?

I have to admit.....when I first saw pics of the CLS55 AMG I knew right away I had to have that car. The front end is everything I want a coupe to be. Even the rear end didn't turn me off as much as I thought it would. I only wish mercedes would make that car a true coupe with only 2 doors. I wish that was the way the new CLK would look, then I would absolutely buy one.

The British automagazines report that the CLK will get a face lift for 2006 which is rumored to include a CLS look-a-like headlight treatment.

I doubt that since a lot of changes were made in 2005. In any case ...bu 2006..I'd be driving a CLS as well....
